June 20th, 2023, Certificate Awarding Ceremony for 2023 graduates of Sino-Swiss Joint Program was held. Sino-Swiss Joint Program which is its 10th year has been strongly supported by the leaders of the two universities and the Consulate General of Switzerland in Shanghai.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Istvan KOCSIS, Deputy Consul General Consulate General of Switzerland in Shanghai, Ms. Heidi Zhang, Deputy Head, Culture, Media and Education Section. Among the participants were Vice President Xia Chunming, Director of Academic Affair Office Rao Pinhua, Dean of Higher Vocational Education College, Director of Sino-Swiss Joint Program Zheng Shubin, Deputy Director of International Office Xiao Qian, Deputy Director of International Office Zou Xiaozho and Deputy Director Li Cong. FHGR representatives attending the ceremony were Andreas Deuber, Director of the International Cooperation, Patric Arn, Dean of Tourism, and Thuc Lan Tran, director of the Sino-Swiss Joint Program. The ceremony was also attended by all the graduates of the Class 2020, parents' representatives and alumni representatives.
Vice President Xia Chunming first welcomed the arrival of all the guests. He reviewed the achievements of program over the years and thanked the teachers from both China and Switzerland for their hard work. At the same time, he also expressed his sincere blessing and encouragement to the graduates of the 2023 Sino-Swiss Joint Program. At the ceremony, Andreas Deuber delivered a speech commissioned by President Jurg Kessler. Mr. Istvan KOCSIS, Deputy Consul General Consulate General of Switzerland in Shanghai, also delivered a wonderful speech and sent his best wishes to the students. Dean Zheng Shubin and Dean Patric Arn, as representatives of Joint Program, sent sincere wishes to the students.
Vice President Xia Chunming and Consul Mr. Istvan KOCSIS presented the certificate to all students, the students were very excited and finally left a valuable group photo. The Certificate Awarding Ceremony was successfully held, which not only marks the deepening cooperation between the two universities, but also symbolizes the friendly exchanges between the two countries.
